Karina Polak

She graduated with honors from medical studies at the Collegium Medicum of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, and is also a graduate of postgraduate studies in aesthetic medicine for doctors at the Silesian Higher Medical School.

Currently, he is specializing in dermatology and venereology at the Department and Clinic of Dermatology of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice, where, as part of his doctoral thesis, he is conducting research on the relationship between the composition of the intestinal microbiome and calprotectin concentration and the severity of skin lesions in adults with psoriasis.

For her scientific achievements, she received a ministerial scholarship for outstanding students, she is the author of works with a total IF of over 40, and she is also the editor of the Medycyna Practical – Dermatology portal. He also works as an academic teacher, conducting classes for medical students and cosmetology students. As a volunteer, he works in associations for patients (Polish Society of Atopic Diseases), especially those affected by atopic dermatitis. He specializes in the treatment of acne, atopic dermatitis and psoriasis. In aesthetic medicine, he is a supporter of subtle, natural building of subsequent effects. He spends his free time writing poetry, hiking in the mountains and breeding Samoyed dogs.
